For this growing family, we converted part of the garage to work harder and smarter.
What was once empty square footage, now houses a full bathroom and tailored mudroom. The two spaces feel generous and provide multiple functions, yet do so in a small footprint. The bathroom employs quartz countertops and porcelain wall and floor tile for durability and provides a natural, textural pattern for interest. The walnut vanity cabinets are the same walnut that is used in the mudroom and unite the new spaces. Mudroom cabinets float above the floor to provide space for everyones shoes, and there are many! Under cabinet lighting helps to find the shoes while also acting as a nighttime navigational tool to get to and from the bathroom. Ample hooks hold coats, backpacks and dog leashes and a long bench makes getting ready and staying organized easy.
